Cheese Burger Mince Meat

Cooking in bulk is always a great way to ensure you stay on track with your diet. The only issue is that sometimes foods cooked in large quantities can lack taste. This is a variation I’ve made to my beef mince dishes. There’s only a few extra ingredients but it makes a big difference.

  1. 5% lean beef mince
  2. ginger
  3. 1 large onion
  4. Parsley
  5. Gherkins
  6. Dijon Mustard
  7. Horseradish
  8. Sauerkraut
  9. Parmesan cheese

•Dice up ginger and garlic and add to a large pot coated in olive oil

•Stir in 1 tablespoon of sauerkraut

•Allow to sweat down for 2-3 minutes

•Add lean beef mince

•Stir and season with salt and pepper

•Once the meat has browned, add 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard and 1 tablespoon of Horse Radish sauce

•Chop up a handful of cocktail gherkins and mix in to the pot

•Add grated parmesan (or cheddar cheese) and stir in

•Leave on a low heat for 2-3 minutes

•Serve with greens

•Depending on your goals, feel free to eat with a toasted bun or add ketchup. If your main goal is fat loss, avoid these options and just go for vegetables
